the annual Anthropological Association of Ireland conference takes place next week at University College Cork. The two conference starts at 11 AM sharp on Friday 21st, registration will open at 10:30 and you can register online also for certification: https://www.ucc.ie/en/cpd/options/philosophy/cpd1665
To help you orientate please consult the information below:
Venue,
the conference will be held on the main UCC Campus in Cork City on Western Road. The opening ceremony will occur in the historic Aula Maxima room in the North Wing where the new MA Anthropology will be officially launched and the conference convened. click here
Accommodation,
Cork city offer an array of accommodation types to suit your needs and budget which you will easily find on tripadvisor, booking.com and similar websites but Cork is a small city, very “walkable” with good bus network too and bicycle sharing scheme also so it can be worth looking around to see what suits you. Staying anywhere near the city centre regardless of side will be fine. Depending on your choice prices will range from 50 to 130 per night with breakfast

Food,
light lunch and drinks will be provided during both days of the conference, on the evening of the first day there will be a social event to meet and greet and continue our discussions in the beautiful surroundings of Reidy’s Wine Vault.
The conference dinner will take place in the Spice Inn Restaurant at 19:30 on the second day. There is a supplemental charge for those wishing to attend and is payable on the day.

Conference Fees,
the conference is free for paid up Anthropological Association of Ireland members and membership is payable on the day if you are not already signed up. Membership is 15 euro for unemployed and students, 30 euro for employed and entitles you to one year’s subscription of the Irish Journal of Anthropology.
